Weddings

Mazal Tov on your engagement! It is always an honour to work with couples as they begin their journeys through their lives together. Your wedding should be a day that is meaningful and memorable for you and your guests. I will work with you to craft a service that speaks to you, and is personalized to you and your special relationship. I will get to know you and your family, and make sure that your celebration is everything that you desire. I happily work with queer and straight Jewish and interfaith couples.

It is important to remember that the wedding ceremony itself is not the end, but the beginning of your lives together.1379533_10151737484734527_141678136_n While creating your dream ceremony is important, what is crucial is being prepared for what comes next; your marriage. As a certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator, I will work with both of you in the months leading up to your wedding to help you emotionally and mentally prepare for your marriage. Each couple is different and unique, and so I will meet with you between 4-8 times for informal pre-marital counselling.

As a part of your wedding preparation, I will be happy to recommend some resources that may interest you.  Some books that I love are Beyond Breaking the Glass,  Meeting at the Well: A Jewish Spiritual Guide to Being Engaged, and Anita Diamant’s New Jewish Wedding, which you might want to begin with.

If you have any questions about your upcoming wedding or the process of preparing for your special day, please do not hesitate to be in touch with me!
